Personal Final Thoughts and Opinions
Fear is an important tool, and the addition of it, and well as the absence of it provide opportunities for our government to toy with its' citizens in how they react to certain policies, and how it affects their own personal credibility.
We live in a time right now where that is more prominent than ever. There's a large amount of fear in this world right now, and an equal amount of denial from our government regarding their wrongdoings.
That said, though, doesn't give them the right to capitalize on political capital or personal credibility.
I'd like to believe our leaders, and I'd also like to believe in their policies. But there is an element of control that they unknowingly emphasize through this manipulation of fear and perception.
With the evidence displayed from the past pages, it's a little easier to understand exactly how the government does this, and how they will continue to manipulate us. They create a fence in our minds to believe what the government says is true, and while there have been recent stretches outside of that fence with events like Watergate, we still are contained in the government's reality of apathy and controlled fear.
I believe that the seed of doubt can help us regain control of our emotions. That may not result in different feelings from the government, but it will help us think for ourselves, and not be afraid of something because someone says so, or believe something from a 'credible' source, where evidence proving otherwise stands in the shadows of a reputation. Free thinking is how we break from this fence in our minds that the government has built.
For now, though, the government has total dominion over thought, as they control our fears, and apathetic feelings.
Fear causes loss of emotion and freethinking, and the absence of it causes this as well.
The Manipulation of fear, though, is the root of dehumanization.
